Sermon Outline
I. The Baptism and Ministry of Jesus (John 3:22-24) Jesus’ disciples baptized under His direction, preparing hearts for the kingdom. Kingdom success is not about status, but about faithfully pointing others to Jesus (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).
II. A Dispute Over Purification Leads to a Lesson in Humility (John 3:25-30) John rejected jealousy and affirmed that all ministry is from God. True joy is found in serving and glorifying Christ, not in seeking recognition (Philippians 2:3-4).
III. He Who Believes in The Son (John 3:31-36) Jesus, having full authority from the Father, declares that eternal life comes through faith in Him. Trust in Jesus and share the gospel urgently, for every person’s eternity depends on their response to Him (Acts 17:30-31). Key Spiritual Truths Trust God’s Control Over Your Role (John 3:27): Stop comparing; trust His purpose and be faithful. Find Joy in Serving, Not in Status (John 3:28-29): Measure success by faithfulness, not recognition. Exalt Christ, Not Yourself (John 3:30-34): Magnify Jesus in all you do—pray for more of Him and less of you.
